Privates

Yoga was originally taught to one student by one teacher because the student and teacher recognized the importance of individualizing the yoga experience to meet the needs of the student. A private session allows you to safely start a new practice, deepen and expand your practice, or spend some time working with an injury or health condition.

Privates allow you to develop and build a practice that works for you, your body, and your life. Privates can also help individuals develop a home practice as well. Private sessions can range anywhere from one to two introduction sessions to a whole series of sessions, depending upon the individual's goal(s) and desires.

Private instruction provides the perfect setting to address your needs and work on areas of strength, weakeness, and interest. Developing a practice that works for you and tailoring it to your needs is the best way to advance your practice. Even just one private session is an invaluable tool to have.

Personalize Your Practice

"The key to right teaching is in the adaptation of yoga to the individual, not the individual to yoga. The whole spectrum of yoga practice must be carefully adapted to the individual’s situation. Nothing can be forced."  -T.K.V. Desikachar

Small Groups

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, small group instruction is a fun, practical, and more personal way to learn yoga, hone your skills, or advance your practice. Small group instruction affords the opportunity to comfortably address specific physical strengths and limitations and target individual goals.

Small group classes provides each participant with the support that helps in the growth of their own yoga practice and the practice of those involved. It is a great way to build a support group and stay accountable to your practice. Sessions can be held in a private studio or the convenience of one of the participant's homes.

Chakra Classes

Chakras are centers of energy in the body. There are seven main chakras that start at the pelvic floor and rise up to the crown of the head. Chakras are the meeting points of energy channels (think veins) called nadiis through which qi (vital energy) or life force (prana) moves. Chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word for "wheel" or "turning". Chakras can be thought of as vortexes or whirlpools of energy. As individuals, we are constantly working on balancing our chakras so we can help open and regulate the energy in our body. Blocked energy in our chakras can often lead to a feeling of being out of balance, having too much or too little energy, and various physical, mental, and emotional imbalances. Understanding what each Chakra represents and what we can do to keep the energy flowing and focused helps to optimize an individual's energy, balance, and health.
